Winter Garden, Florida Outfit

Winter Garden, Florida Outfit

Whenever I travel I always try to do something cultural. Amidst all my Disney fever and the commercialism of my Florida trip; I decided we were going to an art museum. Unfortunately, the museum was in Winter Park not Winter Garden. It was an understandable GPS error. I knew we were in the wrong place when we ended up in front of someone’s house. However, this little area was quaint and slower-paced than the environments of our other outings; so we explored. Below see what turned into my winter garden, Florida outfit.

We had lunch in an empty bar and wandered. The maxi dress was perfect, it is super comfortable and has some edge with the utlra-high slit. The neon pink earrings I made give a fierce pop of colour to this simple outfit. The sandals are Sam Edelman which I got on sale; I love his line! The purse also acts like a wallet and has a rocker edge.

Wherever I go I try to find boutiques unique to the area; Winter Garden had this tiny, adorable bath shop (Wildflower Beauty). I bought their ‘bath tea’ for my grandma and the scrubber for myself. The bath tea soaks were such a different idea I had to buy some for the cute factor. I felt good to support a local business (the owner’s mom was working in the shop).

On the drive home I had an intense craving for ice cream and Googled an ice cream parlour near the hotel. Funnily enough we could see this giant ice cream cone from the hotel balcony. I had to go for the photo opp. They don’t have Twistee Treat in Toronto and it’s always a gamble to see if I can eat place (due to my nut allergy). But the staff looked in the ingredient manual and found I could eat the ice cream sans cone – and I got sprinkles too!
