I have had this stretchy tropical pencil skirt for ages. I like how the flowers cascade down the sides and remind you of vacation. It’s a bit different because it isn’t all over floral as the middle is navy. You wouldn’t think all the colours go together, but they work. I believe I bought the skirt during a trip to England at Primark ages ago.
Even though it’s a pencil skirt, the material is more like a dressy sweatshirt – it’s more casual wear than for the office. See two summer looks for the skirt below.
Pink Lace Bodysuit
I believe this pink lace bodysuit is actually lingerie. So in addition to mixing new and old pieces this outfit shows you how to bring bedroom lace outdoors. The bodysuit is pale pink and has sheer lace at at the chest and is sleeveless which I tucked into the skirt. It almost has a bustier look but it is spandex and more comfortable. I bought it because I haven’t gotten clothes in a while and feel like I have nothing to wear.
There is a bit of pink in the flowers on the skirt so the bodysuit still matches. I wore thong sandals that brought the turquoise out in the skirt. For accessories I wore: my go-to peach tassel earrings and mirrored heart sunglasses
The outfit was for a day of brunch and walking downtown taking graffiti pics.

Barbie t-Shirt and floral skirt
This Grey Barbie t-shirt is loose and comfy. I don’t usually own items so baggy, but since this had my hero’s name on it I bought it. I usually just wear this shirt with a pair of black leggings and call it a day. But I thought it may go with the tropical pencil skirt since the material is casual as well.
Since the shirt is quite loose and shapeless I twisted it and tied it at my waist so it hits a bit below where the skirt falls. I paired it with white tennis shoes and ankle socks. The socks are bright green and bring out the skirt colours.
