Being a Christmas baby sometimes sucks. Parties are cancelled because of snow and everyone’s schedule gets insanely packed. So sometimes I get a bit melancholy. But this year I decided to battle the sadness with a SPARKLE themed birthday party – you know, because I’m an adult.
Create the sparkle party theme
I choose a couple of items to make it sparkle themed.
- Sparkle outfits – I encouraged everyone to wear a sparkly outfit. I wore this complete sequin dress
- Sparkle decor – my amazing sister got me confetti balloons and I decorated the banister in gold glitter ribbon and sparkly purple poinsettia
- Cake – with a sparkly sign and sprinkles
The talented MariYUMMY Desserts made me the happiest cake for my sparkle birthday party! I have a unicorn obsession (again because I’m an adult) and she made the unicorn even more glittery! I loved the cake; it fit the theme and was so bright and like her company name states: it was yummy!
I asked everyone to wear sparkles and I put as many sparkle touches around my home as possible. Including glasses, tea towels and napkins that had sparkle motif.
The only down side is now glitter is EVERYWHERE; I don’t think me or my home will ever be glitter-free. Totally worth it!
